I Suspect Doris Lessing is the only Sci-Fi author with a Nobel Prize in literature.
Must also admit I of course knew of Doris Lessing but HAD NO IDEA she had written a Sci-Fi Pentalogy… well really ANY Sci-Fi books.
An interesting series and a bit “of the beaten track” now when a lot of Sci-Fi published has become “industrialized”
Meaning 6-10 books/ year and author, according to a “formula”, don’t take me wrong, I enjoy that as well.
But a person do need variety, “A Palate Cleanser”
The Canopus in Argos is a sequence of five science fiction novels which portray a number of societies at different stages of development, over a great period of time.
The focus is on accelerated evolution being aided by advanced species for less advanced species and societies.
The novels take place in the same future history, but do not relate a continuous storyline.
Each book covers unrelated events, with the exception of Shikasta and The Sirian Experiments, which tell the story of accelerated evolution on Earth through the eyes of Canopeans and Sirians, respectively.
#1 Shikasta
A secret history of Earth from the perspective of the advanced Canopus civilisation that is thinking in eons rather than centuries.
The history spans from the very beginning of life into a future World War Three.
It includes the trial of all Europeans for the crimes of colonialism.
#2 The Marriages Between Zones Three, Four and Five
Depicts the influence of unknown higher powers on interactions between a series of civilizational “zones” of varying degrees of advancement that encircle the planet Earth.
One zone is representative of an overtly feminine high civilisation initially coupled by royal marriage to a militant and male civilisation.
The novel culminates with the latter, male, civilisation allying with a tribal female realm again following directives from Canopus.
#3 The Sirian Experiments
Focuses, like Shikasta, on the history of Earth, but from the perspective of visitors from Sirius rather than Canopus.
The Sirians are depicted as a highly managed society, with fascist overtones, that attempts experiments on lesser civilisations while trying to mitigate the stagnation of their ruling class.
The story is told from the perspective of Ambien II, one of a peer group of five who rule Sirius.
#4 The Making of the Representative for Planet 8
The story of the civilisation on a planet that, because of interstellar “re-alignments”, is slowly facing extinction, and Canopus’s relationship with them.
The story is greatly influenced by Robert Falcon Scott’s Antarctic expedition, and is Lessing’s homage to it.
#5 The Sentimental Agents in the Volyen Empire
A story of Canopean agents on a less advanced planet; explores hazards of rhetoric and mirrors events in revolutionary societies such as Communist Russia.
The five books have also appeared compiled in a single volume entitled Canopus in Argos: Archives

Not by a long shot. Other Nobel laureates include Kazuo Ishiguro (’Never Let Me Go’), Harry Martinson (’Aniara’), Hermann Hesse (’The Glass Bead Game’), J.M. Coetzee (’Waiting for the Barbarians’), Sinclair Lewis (’It Can’t Happen Here’), and George Bernard Shaw (’Back to Methuselah’). Rudyard Kipling, William Golding, Halldór Laxness, and Bertrand Russell also wrote SF or SF-adjacent stories, and if you throw in fantasy and magical realism the list becomes very long indeed.

I knew three or four off the top of my head, a few others when I checked the list of laureates (I’d forgotten that Golding won a Nobel prize), and then I looked up some of the more promising other names on sf-encyclopedia.com.
Winston Churchill also wrote a couple of alternate history stories that qualify under some definitions of SF.
Yeah, a collected torrent might be interesting.

OMG! I was lucky to read the first 2 books because of a specialty used bookstore where I used to live. They were soooo good!
I had no idea there were known anywhere else, much less that there were audio versions.

You can hardly move for Nobel laureates ’round here. Winston Churchill, of brutish empire fame (rather than American novelist fame) also wrote a number of memos & considerations of aerial bombardment of Irish civilians just after WW1 - remarkably forward-thinking at that time. These noble writings might qualify under some definitions of SF. He managed to put these advanced SF concepts into action against villagers in Mesopotamia. There’ll always be an Ing-er-land, apparently. At least it wasn’t the Nobel prize for ironic peace - like Kissinger’s.
Alternate realities rather than alternate histories.
