The Highest Science. The pinnacle of knowledge and a terrible weapon. A legend – nothing more.
Sheldukher. The most wanted criminal in the galaxy. Evil to the core and hungry for power, whatever the cost.
The Chelonians. A vast military power, pledged to eradicate human parasites wherever they are found.
The Doctor. An ancient and wise Time Lord tracking a temporal fluctuation that endangers the universe itself.
Some things should never meet, but as Professor Summerfield is about to discover, the universe is full of coincidences.

One day, I shall learn how to keep files in order. Yes, I shall learn. Until then, I will just keep messing it up.

@ Dake6
> One day, I shall learn how to keep files in order.
Does that mean the Files are in the wrong Order?
And thank you for providing them!

they are named correctly. in my folder before making the t file, the order i had them was
The Highest Science jpg
Then mp3 part 1
and mp3 part 2
then extras.
but then i put them in the t file, and throws them out of order. been trying to prevent that :/

I can deal with out of order files :)
Thank you very much for the upload!

This audio runs less than 2 mins? Cause I downloaded the file and it comes out at a whopping 1min 26 sec

All of the audio files are there, but whatever program was used to compile the downloaded chapters together (or rip them from CD) has scrambled the file headers. Because of that some programs will show up an incorrect running time, and won’t allow you to scan/click/fast forward through the file properly.
Because all of the file is there (and will play if you press play, regardless of what the running time marker says), and it is just the header information that is a bit funky, the simplest fix is to open up the file(s) in your favourite MP3 joiner/editing program, and then save a new copy of the file(s). Or, do what I did, and use an MP3 joiner program to combine the files together into a single file by using the join function - which is how I prefer to archive each story, personally, as I find it most convenient - and then just save it as a new, single file. The newly saved file with have brand new header information, complete with the correct running time, and the ability to scan through the file will work perfectly on the new copy. Just make sure you save the new file under at least the same quality settings that the source files were, so you avoid any quality loss.
The program that I personally use to do this is called ‘MP3 Splitter Joiner Pro’, but any half way decent digital file editor or joiner program that accepts the MP3 format will allow you to do the same kind of thing.
Hope that helps.
Oh, and thanks for the upload. :D

sounds crazy. they looked fine on mine, right times and all

The files had short run times on my iMac, as well. Like Noddy, I always join all associated files into a single M4B file before listening and archiving. So in my case, I usually use a file joiner that makes M4B files specifically. In this case, that program (AudioBookBinder) was fooled by the short run times. So, I imported them sequentially into Audacity, exported as a FLAC, then converted the FLAC into M4B. And all of that I am sure took less time than it took Dake6 to rip them, prep them, and upload the torrent.
So: Thanks again Dake6!!

brilliant & thank you

yes ive learned doing this a process. glad you got that figured out.

FYI, a prelude to the novel, also penned by Roberts, appeared in Doctor Who Magazine #196

This audiobook wasn’t ripped properly.
The header and related information are all messed up, as mentioned already by Noddy!
The file was never corrected/uploaded.
Depending on what audio software is used to listen, the files ONLY shows about 1 minute per file but the file keeps on going. That happens in iTunes and in the iPhone.
But if you use something like WinAmp, the files will show the correct audio length and play accordingly.

Update:
Did as Noddy suggested.. used mp3 splitter/joiner and merged the 2 files into 1 file and… it did NOT fix the time sequencing problem.
Provided you use any NON-iPhone to listen, it should be fine.
But Don’t listen on an iPhone if you plan to use the reverse/fastforward feature or remember file position as they do NOT work! The file keeps Re-starting back to 0:55 if you do and you’ll have to listen from the beginning All over again!
Just listen to it and hope it picks up where you left off if you don’t finish it within ~2:07 time.
Sad thing is, it plays fine in iTunes just NOT on an iDevice!
