She shows how young women are encouraged to be sexy like porn stars, and to be grateful for getting cat-called or receiving unsolicited dick pics. Melania Trump is hardly the first First Lady to get her position as a Trad Wife: THROTUS is still a thing among the GOP.
Dr Barton is the first Professor of Gender Studies I have noticed who has bought into the Evangelical Culture Wars nonsense hook, line and Stinker; I suspect what she has to say will be fascinating.

@golden92N I hate to tell you, but ever since humans have been able to make art, humans have made porn. it’s a natural outlet for human desires. America is full of puritan prudes that are more concerned with how their imaginary invisible sky daddy is going to punish them, than they are to actually live.

I don’t really think that’s the problem.. The problem is that the Religious Right, which has nothing to do with Christianity have basically made anything not in their rigid guidelines to be something that should be regulated through laws.
