Great book, maybe a bit too long and detailed in the dynastic and hereditary details. Good and subtle sense of humor, whenever applicable. One thing: it would be better narrated by someone else, an actor, without the constant “slurping” sound …

good refresher on French history. doesn’t go into the interesting details about how society was set up and changed.but good enough to get you invested.
