Basically the MC is weak, stupid and generally uninteresting. Side characters are fine. Stopped listening after the MC chose to have the love interest and his ONLY friend sold into sexual slavery to a huge tribe of males only. Instead of killing a man who would have killed him he chose to have his friend raped until she hopefully dies. Nothing after that can save a book/character.Choosing a dumb moral value that somehow exists in a primitive world instead of preventing rape is just a “full retard” move.

Uhm… We’re allowed to use the R-word now? Regardless, the book is trash because the MC made a decision I didn’t agree with it clearly wasn’t worth the effort to stay with it and see what the consequences or motivations were.

The R-word is literary a medical term… Honestly if you can provide a motivation or consequence where rape is a NEEDED literary tool for it to be a part of the book then please go ahead. My issue is with the author so flippantly have rape be part of the book. Then having the MC consider sexual slavery and rape/gangrape being better than murder in a fantasy/gamelit book. If the female character would have been a regular slave it’d be acceptable but nothing short of preventing more rape can justify rape.
