  Always interesting to listen to someone else’s perspective where history is concerned as often ones perspective is severely colored by the politics of those that taught it to us in schools. Back in the 70’s I pulled my HS teacher up on more than a few occasions for teaching opinion rather than proven fact.
  History is an interesting subject as so much of it is written by the victors. It is especially important I believe to critically examine what we are taught seek out other perspectives. The old saying … ‘Trust, but verify’ comes to mind.

  Looking forward to listening to this one.

  In spite of any resistance to the work, it’s always a positive to see vibrant historical debate in the public square, and a function of a system supporting free expression.

  Merely contrast it with the manner in which the toxic ideological regimes (China, Russia, etc.) consistently fail to confront their factual record of appalling crimes. This allows them continuing deniability, of course.

  Notably (& egregiously), the British history curriculum still presents a farrago & parody of actual education. Even comparatively educated Brits are very reluctant to accept historical fact.
