Dear Reader,
I’m sorry to say that the book you are holding in your hands is extremely unpleasant. It tells an unhappy tale about three very unlucky children. Even though they are charming and clever, the Baudelaire siblings lead lives filled with misery and woe. From the very first page of this book when the children are at the beach and receive terrible news, continuing on through the entire story, disaster lurks at their heels. One might say they are magnets for misfortune.
In this short book alone, the three youngsters encounter a greedy and repulsive villain, itchy clothing, a disastrous fire, a plot to steal their fortune, and cold porridge for breakfast.
It is my sad duty to write down these unpleasant tales, but there is nothing stopping you from putting this book down at once and reading something happy, if you prefer that sort of thing.

Do note that the first book in this download is the one with a “full cast,” which can be very irritating to listen to when you go through a whole scene with a baby crying in the background of the dialogue.
The second book at least is just Tim Curry, so hopefully the rest are just him as well.

Books 3, 4 & 5 are read by Daniel Handler (Lemony Snicket) and he is nowhere near as good as Tim Curry, who is fantastic.
Can anyone share the Tim Curry versions of those books?

Most of the series of unabridged audio books are read by British actor Tim Curry, though Handler as Lemony Snicket reads books 3 to 5. Of narrating the audio books, Handler has said: “It was very, very hard. It was unbelievably arduous. It was the worst kind of arduous.”[45] As such, future narrating duties were handed back to Curry, of whom Handler states: “he does a splendid job

that tagging and file naming is just a total catastrophe.
it makes no sense whatsoever and it took me over an hour to put it in a format that makes sense.
