It was all a time-management plan! After all! Timed around their own morbidity & imminent extinction.
Boomers are getting in for some real GBH of late. Couldn’t happen to a greater generation.
They always loved mindless, unsustainable consumption, now they’ll have to konsoom a kickin’ (the author distances itself from any reasonably viable charges of ageism & boomer-bashing. They’re really a swell bunch of sociopaths).

I mean, you can argue that specific individuals, who were mostly boomers, have been responsible, but it was also boomers who put them in power. Over the last 40 years education, healthcare and housing costs have spiraled, bankruptcy protections have been curtailed and the only group of people who has consistently benefited has been the boomer demographic. Where the last three generations are concerned about world issues like climate, healthcare and racial equality, the main thing that boomers rallied behind since the 80s was tax cuts for themselves, at the expense of future generations.
