I really appreciate the one who uploaded this audiobook but did not like the characters voice, as they spoke, in this book. I tried to bypass the irritation that this book was giving me, but after an hour and 30 mins, I couldn’t take it anymore. No emotion in their speech. I’ve listened to a LOT of audiobooks, and this is probably the second audiobook, that I just could not finish. The story was getting interesting, so I think I’ll go find a physical copy of this title, and read it to myself. I’m sure I could do a heck of alot better, than these simpletons, talking like Captain Kirk of the Enterprise. Nothing much wrong with the way he talks, but the “no emotion” when talking to another, is the point I’m trying to make. Also, I felt that this was being read to 5th graders, the simplicity of when the characters spoke to each other, like they WERE 5th graders, instead of adults, was just getting irritating to me, and was just too much, for me to keep listening! It was all one tone, even when the main detective was angry! Ugh…this book needs new actors…bad!
