This brand-new unabridged audiobook of J.R.R. Tolkien’s beloved The Hobbit will be coming to listeners everywhere this September, read by the BAFTA award-winning actor, director and author Andy Serkis.
Bilbo Baggins is a hobbit who enjoys a comfortable, unambitious life, rarely travelling further than the pantry of his hobbit-hole in Bag End. But his contentment is disturbed when the wizard Gandalf and a company of 13 dwarves arrive on his doorstep one day to whisk him away on a journey ‘there and back again’. They have a plot to raid the treasure hoard of Smaug the Magnificent, a large and very dangerous dragon….

Here’s a solution to your first world dilemma jadimi1681@accordmail.net, go to https://books.apple.com/us/genre/audiobooks and BUY the audiobook. I’m sure they’ll have it all characterized for you. Just give them your credit card. Problem solved.

As wuuk said Jadimi, how about we see your own uploads. If you are gonna consume someone’s content either be polite and thank them, give them a proper suggestion OR go buy your own books. Don’t be so entitled we don’t owe you anything:)

The book is so much better than the movie. It explains how Bilbo went through a difficult divorce and why he was tasked with embarking on the quest with Gandalf in the first place…. seems he had a serious drinking problem and was prone to rage.

Much appreciated!

Hobbit rage is truly fearsome to behold. In addition, he seems to have had the relatives from hell. The bad marriage also appears to explain why, in desperation, he joined “Hobbits Going Their Own Way” (HGTOW). And the drink & drugs - he was never off the pipe. The whole thing could’ve been a weed-fuelled hallucination. Notoriously, he smoked his 1st 2 manuscripts.

MP3SplitPortalbe can divide .mp3 into custom lenghts or using silence detection without losing quality.

@jadimi1681 your comment really sows the entitlement generation you are in effect stealing a book but then complaining that it isn’t quite what you wanted lol

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with pointing out problems you see in an upload. It’s how we improve the quality of what we put out as a community over time. If no one ever critiqued anything, we’d probably still be listening to 96-128kbps music MP3s and watching Xvid encoded movies.
Perhaps he could have went about it a bit better, such as starting off the post by thanking the uploader. His point is valid though. It’s plain and simply a mistake to strip an audiobook of its chapters before uploading it. On top of that, AAC > MP3 at the same bit rate. If you convert a 128kbps AAX/M4B file (both use AAC) to a 128kbps MP3, you’ve degraded the quality.
Can we fix the stripped chapters problem after the fact by using software with silence detection and splitting capabilities? Yes, but this is often very time consuming because the silences between chapters often aren’t a consistent length and thus can’t be detected correctly by the software. You’re then stuck manually searching through the waveform for the chapter beginnings and adding the markers yourself. All of this wasted time for who knows how many people can be avoided if just one person (the uploader) spends a handful of seconds to make sure they select the right output options in inAudible. That’s an appropriate ask, in my opinion.
To anyone reading who uploads or may at some point upload audiobooks they personally got from Audible, please — use the “True Decrypt” option in inAudible and upload the resulting M4B file. This guarantees no quality is lost from Audible’s AAX file. This is best way to upload, because it provides everyone with ability to easily put it in the format of their choosing after downloading. If someone out there wants it as one big MP3, or multiple MP3s, or whatever, THEY can convert it to that after downloading with a few easy clicks. They have that option. By comparison, I have no option of getting it in my preferred format (non-transcoded M4B) if you’ve degraded the quality before sharing it.
